My community commitment and involvement extends to sponsorship of Neighbourhood Watch in the Woden Valley, committee member of the Friends of the National Library of Australia and the NLA's Development Council. I sponsor poetry events and poets, an orphanage in Vietnam and other social welfare initiatives in that country, particular families undergoing crushing distress, and a random acts of kindness program at Torrens Primary School to name a few.
As a Council member of the ACT Real Institute, I have a special interest in the future strategic development of the organization, particularly in the development of operational and strategic plans. I support the elimination of anomalies in current federal and ACT legislation pertaining to all aspects of management of the real estate industry.
I have been a resident of Canberra for over 28 years. I am a graduate of the Australian National University. I am the proud mother of a daughter who is now posted overseas with the Australian Government. In the elusive leisure hours of my 7-day-a-week real estate agent's work life, I enjoy reading, cooking, growing vegetables, catching up with friends and participating in the many cultural and community activities so abundant in our beautiful city.
