Bill McKell is the principal of one of Canberra's most exciting and professional accounting firms, William McKell & Co. He commenced his career in 1971 with the Australian Taxation Office progressing through the assessing areas. In 1978 he progressed to an income tax investigation officer where he was required to examine the financial affairs of businesses. In 1991 he left the Australian Taxation Office and took up the position of Assistant Director, Corporate Finances, Executive & Corporate Services Section, ACT Chief Ministers Department. He was required to manage the ACT Chief Minister's Department finances and IT Unit, including that of the ACT Executive Government. He specializes / has a special interest in small to medium size businesses with the establishment and monitoring of Financial Management Systems.
